Wentworth Named 2011 Master Design Awards Winner By Qualified Remodeler Magazine
Qualified Remodeler magazine recently named Wentworth the winner of a Gold Master Design Award in the Exterior Facelift category and a Sliver Award in the Finished Basement category. The prestigious annual awards program, now in its 33rd year, recognizes outstanding achievement in residential remodeling projects in 22 categories. A panel of expert judges chose Wentworth’s design/build team for its success in creating a project with aesthetic appeal, steallar construction techniques, financial value, functionality of space and positive overall impression.
Exterior Home Design Award
The Gold Award in the Exterior Facelift category went to Wentworth’s dramatic transformation of a Silver Spring, MD home’s facade. When longtime enthusiasts of residential modern architecture wanted to update their 1960s split-foyer home with the addition of a two-car garage and a distinguished front entry, Wentworth came up with a design that manages to be both functional and distinguishing. This home now truly stands out from the surrounding houses in the neighborhood!
Basement Remodeling Award
Wentworth’s design and remodel of a row house basement into an airy loft-like space took home a Silver Award in the 2011 Master Design Awards. When the owners’ of a 1920s row house in a historic Washington, DC neighborhood came to the Wentworth team, a clever design solution for their dreary basement came to life. What was once a dark basement with a sloping floor is now modern and functional.
These award-winning projects will be featured in the October 2011 issue of Qualified Remodeler magazine.
